B.O.M.B. is a biological turf treatment designed for the accelerated decomposition of thatch and accumulated organic matter in the turfgrass root zone. Its naturally occurring bacterial strains produce enzymes including laccase, cellulase, amylase and protease to help speed the breakdown of organic material.
B.O.M.B. is positioned for more aggressive, remedial thatch management where excessive organic matter has already developed and a stronger biological approach is needed. It is especially well suited for golf course and sports turf and can be used alongside our Liquid Aeration program as part of a broader strategy to improve root-zone conditions.
Research conducted at Mississippi State University demonstrated a significant reduction in turfgrass thatch following treatment with B.O.M.B.(see study results below).
For ongoing maintenance of thatch at acceptable levels, see Thatch Relief.
